Since opening their doors nearly 12 months ago, Shoal Bay Country Club has earned the reputation of being Port Stephens' premium food, beverage and entertainment venue.
It’s no surprise then that owners Eastern Hotels Group are now expanding their Port Stephens venue to include Shoal Bay Convention Centre, incorporating Whitesands, a space ideal for beachfront weddings and corporate events.
"Shoal Bay Convention Centre is a stunning beachfront location that connects wedding and corporate requirements with the incredible amenity of the Shoal Bay area," hotelier Peter Lazarus said.
"The purpose-built function centre can cater for all medium to large conferences and events, features state-of-the-art facilities including multi-functional spaces that can be transformed into three separate rooms or one or two larger combinations and ample break-out or trade-show areas. It contains a large, fully-equipped kitchen and two bars dedicated to catering for small and large groups."

Keeping in-line with the current food offering at Shoal Bay Country Club, catering and food packages at the convention centre are first-class with a vast range of options including canapes with freshly shucked oysters from the Port Stephens region, through to Sashimi of Tuna, Tempura Soft Shell Crab, Seared Duck Breast, Kingfish Tostadas and BBQ Pork Sliders, to name a few.
For a more formal dining occasion a two to three alternate serve menu is also available featuring items such as Twice Cooked Pork Belly, Roasted Veal Tenderloin and Pan Seared Atlantic Salmon being just some of the magnificent range on offer.
Accommodation is also connected to the space with the neighbouring Ramada Resort offering a wide range of accommodation options ranging from studios, to one, two or three-bedroom apartments.
Shoal Bay Convention Centre and Whitesands will hold its official launch on Tuesday, 6 November however bookings are currently being taken for the space.
