AHA NEWCASTLE HUNTER
WOMEN'S SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The AHA Newcastle Hunter Women’s Scholarship is unique within the industry and has been designed with a focus on development using a balance of coaching, mentoring and thinking preference profiling using the HBDI (Hermann Brain Dominance Instrument) tool.

 

The annual program is awarded to three recipients and runs for six months led by former Solotel CEO and industry powerhouse Justine Baker and author, founder, international business leader and strategy consultant Gill McLaren.

Benefits of the scholarship include 1:1 coaching, the creation of industry support networks, and developing confidence in dealing with senior industry leaders, hoteliers,  and industry associates.

APPLICATIONS FOR THE INAUGURAL AHA NEWCASTLE HUNTER - SCHOLARSHP PROGRAM OPEN ON WEDNESDAY, 7 FEBRUARY 2024

RECIPIENTS WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATE MARCH 2024

SHORT-LISTED CANDIDATES WILL ATTEND A PANEL INTERVIEW FROM  - WEDNESDAY, 20 MARCH 2024

APPLICATIONS CLOSE WEDNESDAY, 28 FEBRUARY 2024

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?

Hermann Brain Dominance Instrument (HBDI) profiling session including debrief to explain the assessment results and how these relate to the individual.

1:1 coaching format, using both profiling results and personal career goals as the framework.

Creation of an Accountability Trio, where the three candidates will meet to consolidate their learnings.

Creation of a support network between the candidates. 

Opportunity to learn from each other’s experiences with guidance from Justine. The candidates will leave with clear actions to take back to their workplace.

Development of skills for successful stakeholder management. The aim is to build confidence in dealing with senior industry leaders, hoteliers, and industry associates.

WHO CAN APPLY

The AHA Newcastle Hunter Hospitality Scholarship program is open to financial  AHA Newcastle Sub-Branch member venue personnel including:

 

  • Owner

  • Licensee

  • Duty Manager

  • Members of staff in leadership roles or with exposure to high level management/ownership
