Aussie music star Shannon Noll today gave 60 lucky fans the chance of a lifetime - to star in his new music video filmed at Shoal Bay Country Club.
The venue's resort atmosphere was a perfect fit for his latest song, Long Live the Summer and hotelier Peter Lazarus said the idea of having Noll film his clip onsite at the hotel made perfect sense.
"His new single is obviously all about summer vibes and he's chosen the Shoal Bay area, and Shoal Bay Country Club to film the clip, and what better place to do that than somewhere like SBCC that has summer vibes all year round," he said.
"One of the great things about this, is we put out the casting call for locals and fans to appear as extras in the clip and were inundated with more than 1,000 applications, which was a great response."
And while filming at the hotel is a first for Noll, he is no stranger to the venue having performed there late last year.
"We actually hosted Shannon in 2018 which was a great show," Peter said.
"Live music is definitely a strong focus for us. Providing locals as well as people living in Newcastle and the wider Hunter is important to us and we are committed to making sure the hottest acts continue to perform here at the Bay.
"Having Shannon film his music video here is a great fit given our passion for live music and the beauty of an area like Shoal Bay, that perfectly reflects that summer vibe."
