AHA members Mick Starkey and Brett McGovern were on hand to help deliver the Sunshine Coach to Newcastle Junior School

Children at Newcastle Junior School were today presented with a special Sunshine Coach by Variety – the Children’s Charity.

The Australian Hotels Association-Newcastle Hunter was proud to donate $10,000 toward the purchase of the 12-seater van, which will allow students to overcome barriers and reach their full potential by accessing a range of different opportunities. including community programs, life skills and sporting programs.

"We are thrilled to be able to assist in providing this vehicle which we hope will allow the kids to engage in regular activities like sports and excursions," AHA and Variety committee member Mick Starkey said.

Newcastle Junior School provides quality learning experiences and opportunities for students with additional needs in the foundation years from pre-kinder to year four.
