The Australian Hotels Association, (AHA) Newcastle Sub-Branch and its members are proud to maintain a strong commitment to the City of Newcastle and its wider community.
This commitment is demonstrated through a number of community support initiatives with charity partners, non-profit organisations and individuals in need of assistance.
As part of this ongoing commitment, the AHA is proud to offer an annual grants program available to individuals and non-profit organisations.
Five $2,000 grants are available each year.
Applications are open from 1st February 2019 to 1st April 2019 and each request will be assessed individually.
GRANT CATEGORIES INCLUDE:
Fundraising event applications relate to any community event that aims to raise money for an existing and registered non-profit organisation or identified individual. All proceeds of the event must go to the designated recipient.
Arts funding grants relate to individuals or groups seeking assistance to further their career in the arts. Funding applications must relate to music or performance-based art.
Medical grants relate to individuals experiencing unique and debilitating medical conditions and who require assistance with associated expenses.
Hospitality grants relate to individuals seeking to enter or further their career in hospitality and who may be experiencing hardship.
Sporting grants relate to applications seeking funding for sports-related requirements such as equipment, grounds upgrades and high-level opportunities for individuals which incur travel costs.
All applications for donations must meet the following criteria in order to be considered:
Applications must be sent via the application form and be received prior to the designated submissions closing date.
All applications must adhere to the requirements of the category within which they fit.
