In the lead up to summer, the Wickham Park Hotel, affectionately known as The Wicko, will lend a hand to help support local children's charity Surfing the Spectrum which teaches children with autism how to surf.
The hotel's Surfing the Spectrum fundraiser, to be held on Saturday, 28 September, will include a stellar line up of local live music and aims to raise awareness for the organisation and help raise funds that will bring surfing to children with autism across 10 locations.
Hotelier Marcus Wright, said while the pub supports numerous charities every year, this one is particularly close to his heart.
"My son is 13 and has Autism and I know how hard it can be to fit into public events or to be able to go to the beach for a surf, " he said.
"We welcome the chance to help spread the good work so many charities do to help people with disabilities. It is great to see all people enjoying live music together and everyone feeling welcome and having fun."

The event is free and kicks off at 4pm with live music in the beer garden with JJ King, followed by performances by The Blues Bombers and The Ride-Ons in the evening.
"We hope to raise awareness and help people understand this, and other conditions people might be experiencing," Marcus said.
There will be raffles, auctions and other fundraising initiatives held throughout the afternoon and evening.
The hotel's beer garden will remain family friendly throughout the afternoon and people are encouraged to bring their families along to enjoy the event.
